The Garmin Rino 110 is great in groups because it combines two-way radio and GPS features to help you communicate with your friends and find them easily. Using the Rino’s unique Position Reporting feature, you can send your exact location to other Rino users in your group, so they can see your precise location on the map page and get to you (or vice-versa). In an emergency situation, sending your exact location can be a real lifesaver. At amusement parks, malls, or other outdoor activities, keeping track of family members locations can be a huge time-saver. No more hunting around for hours trying to find them!
As with most other Rino models (such as the Garmin Rino 520), the Garmin Rino 110 model can save up to 500 of your favorite locations (waypoints) in it’s memories so you can visit them again later.
Important Note: Garmin is pleased to announce that the US FCC has granted Garmin a waiver that allows the Rino products to send position data on the GMRS channels. In addition, Industry Canada has established a license-free GMRS service. Canadian Rinos now allow users to access and transmit their position on Canadian GMRS channels. All you need to do to enjoy these new features is download the latest Rino 110 software.
